Why InternCrew Exists
Our cofounders bring 15 years in payroll and HR and decades in staffing. Together, they learned what it really takes to hire, pay and protect a workforce, and how quickly most businesses say no when the worker is under 18.
Corey went on to cofound EntryPointSRM, an AI platform that helps schools put student data to work. Inside those schools, he kept hearing the same thing: counselors and leaders want real work experience for their students, but they don't have the capacity to make it happen.
InternCrew is what those two experiences built. We took the payroll and HR know-how, combined it with what schools told us they needed, and pointed it at one goal: getting young people into real, paid work before they choose their path.

Corey Koopmans
Corey believes a first job can change a life, because it changed his.
He’s sold yachts, built and sold companies, and spent 15 years solving the payroll and HR problems that make hiring hard. Along the way he learned the truth he now builds everything around: work builds people. It shows you what you’re good at, what you’re not, and what you’re worth.
America is running short of skilled workers, and it’s becoming a threat to our economy and our national security. Meanwhile, a generation of young people is ready to work and can’t get in the door. He doesn’t see a talent problem. He sees a locked door, and he built InternCrew to open it.
Matt Rogers
Matt is a seasoned technologist, platform architect, and AI expert who knows how to turn a big vision into working technology. He and Corey have built companies together before: as CTO and co-founder of HireCredit, Matt led the product strategy and design of a platform that helped employers claim tax credits for hiring deserving applicants.
He leads the technology that powers InternCrew, turning complex payroll, HR, and compliance work into a simple experience for employers, schools, and students. His focus is building systems that scale, so more students can get real, paid work experience.
Cathi Canfield
Cathi brings more than 25 years of staffing leadership to InternCrew, including several executive roles at prominent staffing firms. She is recognized as a highly innovative leader in staffing, talent development, and workforce development, and was named to Staffing Industry Analysts' 2023 Global Power 150 – Women in Staffing list.
She has spent her career closing the gap between what workers know and what employers need, and she believes the best interview is a real workday. Cathi runs InternCrew's operations, making sure every placement works for the employer, the student, and the partners behind them.
